Variations is a dynamic collection of monologues with unforgettable characters and gripping narratives that explore the complexity of the human experience. 


Told through a range of styles, from comedy to tragedy to performance art.

Born and raised in London, Emily is of a rich and abundant Ugandan heritage, specifically Acholi. 


Emily studied Acting and World Theatre, under scholarship at Regent’s University London and The New School for Drama in New York. Since graduating in 2018, she has worked mainly as an actor. Credits include: Essentially Black (Soho Theatre),

Ming

Ming has worked as a dance artist, choreographer, lighting designer and technician for 9 years since graduating from Palm Beach Atlantic University. 


After graduating, she went on to become a production apprentice at New York Live Arts where she had the opportunity to work with artists, such as Bill T. Jones, Okwui Okpokwasili and Miguel G

In 2018, Ming graduated with an MFA in choreography with distinction from Roehampton University, winning the Choreographic Thesis Prize. 


Ming has also done several lighting designs for H2 Dance, Fubunation, and Resolutions Dance Festival. Ming is currently pursuing a PhD at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, works as a visiting lecturer at Roehampton University, and recently performed in works by H2 Dance, Nicola Conibere, Amber Jarman-Crainey, and Seke Chimutengwende.

Tippy has directed multiple plays at  venues  including The Kings Head Theatre, Drayton Arms Theatre, Hen & Chickens and Harlow Playhouse.

Most recently she directed a new play The A Word written by Jade Winters which raises awareness of domestic abuse in the LGBTQ+ community, in collaboration with the charity Safe Lives. 


As an actor, Tippy has appeared in a range of supporting roles for Netflix, Amazon Prime & Channel 4. She is an award-winning filmmaker and her most recent experimental film Terminus, was screened at BAFTA qualifying festivals and won at the London Independent Film Awards.


Currently she is collaborating with University Centre Harlow, Essex Film Collective, Film Barking & Dagenham, and is part of the Director’s Development Programme at The Mercury Theatre.
